With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Longin, St. Sava Monastery is undertaking a historic renovation to restore the beloved camp building and establish the St. Mardarije Spiritual & Cultural Center.
This new center will revitalize the spiritual and cultural life of our community, serving as:
- The official visitors center of the Monastery with a diocesan bookstore and library
- A home for the return of St. Sava Camp, offering youth ages 6–18 a place to grow in faith and fellowship
- A venue for diocesan events, retreats, liturgical workshops, and gatherings
- A place for parishes to meet, connect, and collaborate
- A permanent home for spiritual formation and heritage preservation for generations to come
The building has remained closed since 2015. Now, with renewed plans, professional teams, and diocesan oversight, we are preparing to bring it back to life as a modern, safe, and inspiring space.
To complete this effort, we seek to raise $6 million, covering building restoration, furnishings, and long-term maintenance. Every gift, large or small, helps preserve the legacy entrusted to us by St. Nikolaj Velimirović and St. Mardarije.
